What I'm doing now
Ryan Crist

Easy Squeeze Craft Punch
The team was tasked to create a better overall experience for the craft punch. Most punches need excessive force to activate and the market was in need of a shift.

-
Refined concepts to house a rotational force activation
-
Reduced parts in assembly to simplify design
-
Full prototypes with SLA and sintered SLS to prove design
-
Scaled design to accommodate a variety of sizes and shapes
Concepts 2 Reality
Lead Industrial Designer
2002-2007
Concepts 2 Reality was a small consultancy located in East Troy, WI. It was a full service design a development firm and I was hired an intern during the summer of 2002. I was then hired on full time as the first Industrial Designer after I completed my degree. I had to learn fast and adjust to a quick pace and wide scope of projects

We worked closely with GB to uphold brand guidelines and characteristics
Work around the mechanism
Concept sketches and CAD geometry had to house the internal mechanism
Additional Work
Working as an Industrial Designer in an Engineering focused firm gave me the opportunity to learn by doing. Trial by fire was the theme for most of my early projects, but through the trials came success and knowledge that brought repeat business and resolve that I have carried with me through my career.
